Ronaldo to buy golf club and destroy it – as it spoils view from £17m mansion
Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to buy a golf clubhouse only to demolish it because it spoils the view from his £17million mansion.
The £500,000-a-week Manchester United icon is planning to move to his new 12,000 sq ft property at Quinta da Marinha on the Portuguese Riviera early next year. He aims to move there with partner Georgina Rodriguez and his five children amid reports of his potential departure from the Old Trafford club.
And the 37-year-old on Tuesday was reported to be in negotiation with Oitavos Golf Club’s owner Miguel Champalimaud as he looks to demolish it in order to build a driveway to his new property.

Ronaldo is said to have offered to relocate the entire neighbouring building as well as its car park as he looks to ensure his family’s privacy at the luxury pad.
A source close to the project told The Sun: “The clubhouse was a problem for him so he wants the problem removed. Cost is not an issue – he is a perfectionist who can afford perfection.”
The cost of the property is believed to have already rocketed from £10m to £17m. Yet it can still rise as more additions are put in place with the help of architect Vitor Vitorino.
Do you think the golf club will agree to make way for Ronaldo's dream home? Let us know in the comments section.
It includes huge bedroom suits, gorgeous sea views as well as indoor and outdoor pools. The blueprints are also said to include a cinema, games room, office and spa.
Sources are also reported to have said the Portugal captain’s dream home will include a garage equipped with elevators to hold his 30 cars, allowing him to select a vehicle at the touch of a button.
And he is even believed to be considering buying an Italian quarry in order to ensure the marble used for his new home remains exclusive.
