Ronaldo forced to leave Juventus training as transfer saga takes another twist

Cristiano Ronaldo is the latest superstar whose future has been subject to intense speculation.

And his saga took another dramatic twist as the five-time Ballon D’Or winner was forced to leave training after injuring his arm, according to Sky Sports.

The five-time Champions League winner came off the worst in a training ground collision with Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro.

He immediately went down clutching his arm before Juventus medics carefully escorted him off the pitch.

While the seriousness and scale of the injury are still unknown, it could not have come at a more delicate time with the former Real Madrid icon’s future up in the air.

Ronaldo’s days at Juventus appeared to be finite when reports suggested he had requested to be a substitute in Juventus’ 2-2 draw with Udinese.

However, this was vehemently denied by Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri.

The Italian boss told Sky Italia the decision to leave the former Manchester United star out of the starting-XI was his, due to Ronaldo's supposed lack of match fitness.

On Tuesday it was reported by Sky Sports News that a key agent in the game was looking to form a deal taking Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid, with Ronaldo taking his place at Paris Saint-Germain.

The French striker has already turned down three new contract offers with The Parisians, who also reportedly received a transfer offer of £137m from Real Madrid.

PSG looked like they had finished their transfer business having signed Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi.

However, if reports are to be believed then there could even be a possibility of Messi and Ronaldo competing for the same badge this season.

But, if Ronaldo is to depart Juventus, then the club would have to pay around £25m to buy him out of his contract with the Turin side.
