Ronaldo followed on motorway by Portuguese TV as Man Utd return confirmed
Cristiano Ronaldo has been spotted on Portuguese TV, with a camera crew following him down the motorway after his move to Manchester United was agreed.
The 36-year-old is set for a return to Old Trafford, 12 years after leaving the Red Devils for Real Madrid.
On Friday afternoon Man Utd confirmed they have reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Ronaldo, subject to personal terms, a visa and a medical.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was a roaring success during his first spell at the club winning three Premier League titles, a Champions League and several domestic trophies.
There's no disputing Ronaldo's status as a global icon and having travelled to his hometown Lisbon with agent Jorge Mendes, the Portuguese media appeared to have live updates on his location.
Tom Coast, a journalist from sportswitness, reports the Portuguese media have followed Ronaldo since his plane landed in Lisbon.
The camera crew have even gone to the extreme lengths of reporting live from the scene, shadowing the former Real Madrid man down a busy motorway.
The TV channel allege that Ronaldo was heading home to his house in Lisbon to discuss the finer details of his return to Man Utd and undergo a medical.

But for quite some time it appeared the former red was going to turn blue.
Manchester City were heavily linked with a move for Ronaldo before an 11th-hour u-turn saw the Citizens pull out of the deal, leaving the path clear for an Old Trafford reunion.
Providing there are no last-minute hitches, Ronaldo will be available for his second United debut after the international break.
