Ronaldo and Man Utd aces could be banned from driving sports cars under Rangnick
Ralf Rangnick might impose a ban on his Manchester United players from driving sportscars, meaning Cristiano Ronaldo’s £17million arsenal of elite automobiles will have to be left in the garage for some days while he serves under the new boss.
The German manager, 63, had previously forced RB Leipzig players to use only company cars during workdays during his second spell at the club, from 2018 to 2019.
And should Rangnick decide to inflict the same rule on his new squad, Ronaldo will be saving on petrol money for the foreseeable future, along with his teammates.
The Portugal international – who has a huge interest in sportscars – recently acquired a £250,000 Bentley Flying Spur to his mammoth collection, according to the Mirror, while the Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, Mercedes, and Range Rovers frequently see driven by players entering Carrington could be no more.
It’s one of the many quirks that Rangnick has implemented while at a club. The Mirror also states that he’s had players tested for gluten and lactose allergies, and he’s been known to bring in sleep specialists.
At one time he persuaded RB Leipzig to invest £1million to install a ‘Soccerbot’ at the club’s training ground.
On Monday, Rangnick was officially announced as interim manager for United until the end of the season.
