Romelu Lukaku is back at Chelsea’s Cobham training base with his future up in the air ahead of the new season.
The Belgian striker was pictured alongside a Chelsea Under-12 player in an Instagram post wearing a club tracksuit as he keeps up his fitness levels.
Lukaku, 30, isn’t in the plans of new Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino but so far hasn’t been able to secure a move away having spent last season on loan at Inter Milan.
Reports in Italy suggest Chelsea are in talks with Juventus over a player-plus-cash deal for their striker Dusan Vlahovic, with the transfer fee around £35million.
However, Pochettino reportedly isn’t convinced by Vlahovic’s qualities and is unwilling to sanction the deal.

Lukaku is believed to be training individually at Cobham alongside a personal fitness coach and away from the rest of the Chelsea squad.
A return to Inter appears unlikely despite 14 goals in 37 appearances during last season’s loan spell, which featured a run to the Champions League final.
Lukaku was criticised for missing a number of key chances after coming off the bench in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.
A permanent move to Inter collapsed with one ultras group labelling Lukaku a ‘mercenary’ who has ‘betrayed’ the club by considering a move to bitter rivals Juventus.
He was linked with a move to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League but wasn’t keen on moving there.
Juventus fans, meanwhile, unfurled a banner opposing his transfer there. The Curva Sud ultras group held up the banner reading ‘Lukaku stay in Milan, we already have a second goalkeeper.’

It references Lukaku’s accidental block of Roberto Dimarco’s goalbound effort in Inter’s defeat to Man City in Istanbul.
Chelsea have left the No 9 shirt – which has come to be regarded as cursed after Lukaku, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gonzalo Higuain, Alvaro Morata and Falcao all wore it – free this season.
