Jose Mourinho’s Roma ran out 2-1 winners over ten-man Lecce in the late Sunday game in Serie A.
The hosts went one up through Chris Smalling after just six minutes, and were buoyed when Lecce’s Dane Morten Hjulmand was sent off halfway through the first-half.
However, the visitors rallied, and equalised six minutes before the break through Brazilian Gabriel Strefezza.
Roma restored their lead shortly after the break through Paulo Dybala’s penalty.
