Jadon Sancho looks set to join Manchester United after they agreed a fee with Borussia Dortmund. Rio Ferdinand is a huge fan of the Englishman and has told him how he can replicate the great Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.
Ferdinand has told Sancho how he can replicate Ronaldo at United as the England international nears a move to the club.
The Red Devils have agreed a £73m fee with Dortmund for the 21-year-old and he looks set to join after Euro 2020.
It earmarks a brilliant first coup of the summer, one that took all summer last year that saw United end up empty-handed.
Instead, Ed Woodward and John Murtough have moved quickly to secure the services of their top target.
And they are already looking at the next options while Ferdinand is a massive fan of Sancho and cannot wait to see the Camberwell-born ace rock up at Old Trafford.
Sancho looks set to be given the iconic No.7 kit, one that was worn by Ronaldo, and Ferdinand has told the youngster how he can fill his boots not just his shirt.
“Just immerse yourself in everything about the club.
“Just work hard and make sure that everything you do is about being a success at Manchester United and being the best you can be there.
“Don’t let anything sidetrack you or take you away.
“Be you, entertain, end product is what you’re about and just bring that to the table.
“But that focus, please, your energy and focus, just be solely football.”
United have their sights set on landing Eduardo Camavinga and Pau Torres after the confirmation of Sancho as Solskjaer looks to bolster his squad after narrowly missing out on the Europa League trophy last season.
