Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti joked that even Pep Guardiola will get the sack one day if he stays in football management.
Madrid face Valencia on Thursday just three days after they sacked Gennaro Gattuso.
‘It’s a reality for coaches,’ said Ancelotti. ‘We all get fired, except Guardiola but even Pep if he continues to work even he will get the sack one day. It has happened to me in my career but I am still here.’
Even Pep Guardiola will get sacked from a managerial role at some point, said Carlo Ancelotti

Valencia are in turmoil as they visit the current champions. Gattuso became the 10th coach to leave club in the last nine years on Monday night when he left after taking charge of just 22 matches.
Club delegate Salvador Gonzalez ‘Voro’ will be in charge for Thursday’s league meeting, in his sixth stint as caretaker coach in the last decade.
There were protests after Gattuso was fired with Singapore-based owner Peter Lim the target.
Former Valencia goalkeeper Santi Canizares urged angry supporters: ‘We have to make life impossible enough for them that they sell.’
But Lim’s representative at the club, president Layhoon Chan said on Wednesday: ‘We have no intention of selling up. We love the club and we want to save it.’
The former AC Milan midfielder was relieved of his duties as Valencia manager this week
Valencia are just one point above the drop zone after winning only one of their last 10 games in La Liga.
Gattuso wished Voro luck in his parting message adding: ‘it’s a very difficult job but the players are brave.’
Ancelotti’s Madrid can close the gap on leaders Barcelona if they slip up tonight against Betis.
Madrid did nothing in the January transfer window beyond buy back former youth player Fran Garcia. The Rayo left back will join at the end of this season.
Full-back Fran Garcia will return to Real Madrid in the summer, having left for Rayo Vallecano
Madrid were expected to do nothing despite a lengthy injury list and a marathon of fixtures.
Ancelotti blamed the pile-up of games on each governing body in football pursing their own interests at the expense of exhausted players.
He said: ‘Rotating the players is very important because we have an incredible calendar. There is no stopping here because La Liga, UEFA, FIFA all want to do their own thing and so there are no days off.
‘We have to stop for a moment because if the players become too tired then it’s all over. It’s exciting to play all these competitions, but there is a limit. We all have to do something together to avoid this.’
Real Madrid face Liverpool in the Champions League on February 21, but before then, they have three league games and a World Club Cup semi-final and final.
Ancelotti’s side have a huge month ahead, with two Club World Cup ties scheduled in February
