Real Madrid have been told to forget about a sensational Kylian Mbappe transfer and to instead fill two gaps in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. Former boss Fabio Capello believes that there are more important signings to be made than the French sensation.
Real spent most of the summer trying to prise Mbappe away from Paris Saint-Germain but ultimately failed.
PSG are believed to have incredibly rejected at least two offers for the 22-year-old despite the fact that his contract expires at the end of June 2022.
Mbappe can agree a pre-contract with foreign clubs upon the opening of the January transfer window.
It means that the French club are likely to lose for free a player whom they paid around £155million for just four years ago.
However, ex-England head coach Capello believes that Ancelotti should focus on improving two other areas instead of targeting Mbappe.

The 75-year-old, who won two La Liga titles in two spells as a manager at the Bernabeu, has told Real to sign two defenders.
“They’ll need time to build a strong team, Madrid need a couple of central defenders,” Capello told Corriere dello Sport.
“I saw them against Mallorca… Mamma mia! [But] upfront they have no problems, even without Mbappe. They have interesting players.”
Real are top of LaLiga after eight games but have been bailed out by their attack in games.
Their 10 goals conceded is only trumped by Osasuna’s 11 in the top half of the table. It is a defensive record that might have been more costly had they not already scored a staggering 22 times.
The second-highest team in the division is Rayo Vallecano with 13.
But Real still seem intent on signing Mbappe. On Tuesday, president Florentino Perez told El Debate: “We hope by January 1 that everything will be solved.”

Mbappe has also publicly revealed that he asked to leave PSG in the summer and hit out at the club for leaking what he perceives to be negative stories.
The Frenchman claims he asked to depart the club in late July, despite claims that he did so a month later.
“I wanted the club to have a fee for a quality replacement,” Mbappe said on Monday.
“My position was clear, I said that I wanted to leave.
“I did not appreciate the fact that they said I came [with the news he wanted to leave] in the last week of August. I said at the end of July that I wanted to go.
“I said it early enough so that the club could react. I wanted everyone to come out of this stronger, that we leave hand in hand.”
