Real Madrid wantaway Lucas Vasquez has been offered to both Tottenham and Arsenal ahead of a potential summer move, according to reports. The 29-year-old has featured regularly for the Spanish giants this season, playing every minute of their last four La Liga matches, but is keen to move on after rejecting the offer of a new three-year contract with a 10 per cent wage cut.
Vasquez has turned out on 30 occasions in all competitions since the beginning of the campaign, scoring two goals and creating another seven in the process.
However, he appears to be edging towards a summer departure with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Real are eager to keep hold of the versatile wide man, who is equally capable of performing at right-back as well as in a more advanced role, with Zidane asking the club’s hierarchy to retain his services at all costs.
Despite the Frenchman’s wishes, Vasquez looks set to seek a new challenge with both parties beginning to make alternative plans ahead of next season.
He has instructed his representatives to strike a deal with a Premier League club, with Arsenal and Tottenham near the top of the player’s wish list according to Sports News Sunday.

Vasquez worked under Spurs boss Jose Mourinho during the latter’s time in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu, and would be more than willing to reunite with the Portuguese coach in England.
The allure of living in the capital has also introduced Arsenal into the equation, with the Gunners having been sounded out over the possibility of a move.
Although Vasquez is hoping that his immediate future will be settled as quickly as possible, he could decide to snub the north London rivals due to his preference for a four-year deal with the promise of Champions League football.
With Spurs out of the Europa League and facing an uphill battle to seal a top-four finish this season, and Arsenal well adrift of the Premier League’s upper reaches, it seems unlikely that either club will be able to fulfil the Spaniard’s demands.
Meanwhile, Real are eyeing a move for Levante star Jorge De Frutos to replace Vasquez next season.
The 24-year-old has excelled for the La Liga mid-table stragglers, providing 11 goals and assists in 27 matches since the beginning of the campaign.
“I have always valued him as a player and what he gives to us on the pitch. Now he is having the opportunity to show us what he is all about.
“He was a youth team player for us and has Real Madrid in his heart. I’m happy for him and for the team. He is an important player and the club knows that. I think it will happen and he will renew.”
Vasquez has made a total of 236 appearances for Real since breaking through the club’s academy system.
He boasts an impressive CV that includes four Champions League titles and two La Liga triumphs, and was selected to represent Spain at Euro 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
