Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement with Erling Haaland when it comes to joining them in the summer transfer window. The Borussia Dortmund star has enhanced his reputation as one of Europe’s hottest prospects with 16 goals from 14 Bundesliga games this term. Despite Manchester City and Barcelona also being linked, however, a move to the Spanish capital now seems to be on the cards.
Haaland has scored 80 goals in just 79 appearances for Dortmund since joining from Red Bull Salzburg two years ago.
He’ll be on the market for around £66million come the end of the campaign due to a clause inserted in his contract.
While Real’s preference has been a deal for Kylian Mbappe, they’re now upping the ante when it comes to landing Haaland as well.
According to Sport, Carlo Ancelotti’s team have now closed a ‘preferential agreement’ with Haaland’s representatives to bring him to the Bernabeu in the summer.
This, it’s claimed, comes after Los Blancos chiefs held a summit in Monaco to finalise a deal – with Rafaela Pimenta and Alf-Inge Haaland conducting negotiations on the player’s side.
So, Express Sport will now take a look at shirt numbers Haaland could wear if does indeed end up joining the La Liga titans.

No 18
Speaking recently, Ancelotti all but confirmed Gareth Bale would leave the club in the summer when his contract expires.
The Italian said: “His contract is about to end and it could be that he didn’t have much motivation in recent times.
“Now he’s feeling good, and he wants to end his time here as he deserves, because Bale has brought many titles to this club.”
So, if Bale goes, his No 18 shirt will be vacant.
It’s previously been sported by the likes of Luka Jovic, Marcos Llorente and Mariano Diaz.

Another player whose future is uncertain is Dani Ceballos.
Big things were expected of the midfielder when they signed him from Real Betis back in 2017.
Yet the Spain international has often struggled to oust the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Federico Valverde from the side.
Ceballos also spent two years on loan at Arsenal.
And Madrid are primed to cut him loose as they look to raise funds for both Haaland and Mbappe transfer deals.
No 30
Haaland has worn the No 9 at Dortmund since the beginning of last season, and the No 17 before that.
But when he was making his name, the Norway international previously donned the No 30.
This was the case at Salzburg, where he first caught the attentions of Europe’s top clubs.
And Haaland also sported the number during his spell in his homeland at Molde.
With the number currently vacant, he may be tempted to go back to his roots as he’d aim to be a Bernabeu hit.
Haaland’s transfer comments
Haaland said in January that things would ‘start to happen’ now revolving his future, with Dortmund resigned to losing their star striker.
“The last six months I have chosen not to say anything out of respect for Dortmund, but now the club has started to press me into making a decision,” he said. “All I want to do is play football.
“But they press me… about my future, so that means I have to make a decision soon.”
When asked if he could decide imminently, the Norwegian added: “That is what they [Dortmund] want.
“It means things will happen now. They have started to put a lot of pressure on me, and I have to accept that so now is the time to get things started.”
