Enzo Marcelo didn't hang around following his return from injury in Real Madrid's youth academy – scoring three times in six minutes having started as a substitute.

Incredibly, Enzo, 13, smashed home four goals in the derby against Atletico just days later – taking his tally for the season to 32 goals across 14 games for their under 14 side.

While making his father proud, Enzo is also showing glimpses of his heroes in the game – the names of which will not be surprising to the Real Madrid faithful.

In a chat with The Athletic, Enzo said when asked of his dreams in the game: "The one I want the most is to get to the first team and play for Real Madrid.

"The second is to win a World Cup. And the third one is to continue beating my father at FIFA."

He added of his role models in the game, after mentioning Karim Benzema and Ronaldo Nazario: "That’s apart from my father. And what I’m most proud of about him is that wherever we go, everyone treats him the same. He’s humble, he doesn’t change anything with anyone."

Marcelo played 546 games for the club between 2007 and 2022, scoring 38 goals from left-back while picking up six La Liga titles and five Champions League triumphs.

One fan said in response to his recent flurry: "Enzo needs a challenge cause it's too easy, he's on another level. I am so happy for Marcelo having such a talented son."

A second said: "This boy is really something to keep an eye on."

A debate has also emerged regarding Enzo's international allegiance, with him being eligible to represent both Brazil and Spain, having lived all of his life in the latter.

Marcelo himself is now playing in Brazil with Fluminense, where he started his career, having had a brief spell with Olympiacos after leaving the Spanish capital.

The 34-year-old has also hinted that he might be returning to Spain soon, while telling Real Madrid fans that the club will always be his home.
