Real Madrid happy to agree Isco transfer but Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta should be worried
Arsenal: Arteta believes team have 'taken handbrake off'
Real Madrid would be happy to let Isco leave amid interest from Arsenal, according to reports. The Spain international has struggled for the La Liga giants this season, registering just one assist from 10 league matches. And a move to the Premier League could be on the cards, with Mikel Arteta keen to bring the 28-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.
Isco joined Real Madrid back in the summer transfer window of 2013, with the Spain international snubbing a move to Manchester City in favour of the Bernabeu.
He’s proven to be worth their investment in the years since, helping them win two La Liga titles and well as the Champions League on four separate occasions.
This season, however, Isco has encountered problems.
The 28-year-old has fallen down Zinedine Zidane’s pecking order and a parting of the ways could be on the cards this month.
Arsenal are interested in the playmaker at a time where Mesut Ozil is primed to be shown the door, with the Gunners finally expected to cut the 2014 World Cup winner loose.
And OkDiario say Real are happy to let the former Malaga star loose this winter.

However, Arsenal should be concerned about what they think.
The La Liga titans reportedly think Isco is past his prime and that he wouldn’t be missed should an exit take place this month.
The main drawback is said to be his demands, with the Spain international wanting a bumper salary from whoever he joins next.
And with Arsenal’s finances severely impacted by the coronavirus crisis, whether they’re able to recruit Isco is something only time will tell.
Real have sold several stalwarts in recent times and are looking to raise funds as they target Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in the summer.
James Rodriguez was sold to Everton in the summer, while Gareth Bale is currently spending the season on loan at Real Madrid.
And Isco could now be next.
Meanwhile, Gunners legend Kevin Campbell recently questioned their interest in Isco – and hailed Bakuyo Saka and Smith Rowe for their recent showings.
“Well Emile Smith Rowe’s been creative, Saka’s been creative. So I’m not sure where Isco would fit,” he said.
“He’s s a gifted player, don’t get me wrong, but he’s not someone who’ll pick the ball up and go past people. He’s a technical operator.
“You need to be playing half-decent to get the best out of him.
“I’ve seen him a lot and when you play well, he tends to play well.
“But he’s not someone who takes the game by the scruff of the neck.
“I might be wrong, but there are other players I think they should go for.”
Arsenal are next in action against Newcastle in the FA Cup on Saturday (5.30pm).
