Alvaro Rodriguez scored his first goal for Real Madrid five minutes from time to equalise in the Spanish capital derby.
Jose Maria Gimenez scored a header with just over ten minutes remaining to put Atletico Madrid ahead in the LaLiga clash, but Alvaro equalised seven minutes later.
Atletico substitute Angel Correa was sent off in the 64th minute for elbowing Antonio Rudiger off the ball, less than 20 minutes after he was introduced at the break.
