His parents arrived in Finland as refugees from civil war-torn Sierra Leone and Kamara was raised in sleepy Soukka, not far from Helsinki before moving to London with his mother aged 12.
It was while playing cage football in Ladbroke Grove that he was first spotted by Southend United prior to joining Arsenal. He has since gone on to win the Scottish league title with Rangers and represented Finland at the European Championships earning praise from Sportsmail columnist Martin Keown for his displays.
His stance against racism last year earned even greater respect from his peers and Red Bull are looking to utilise his standing as a role model in the game as they work to promote football at grassroots level.

Kamara, who is expected to start on Thursday evening when Rangers take on Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League, tweeted: ‘Super excited to start working with @redbull #givesyouwings.’
As well as sides from Germany, he is understood to be attracting attention from English clubs Newcastle, Brighton, Watford and Aston Villa ahead of the summer transfer window.
