Ralf Rangnick’s wages and salary at Man Utd as huge pay rise awaits interim boss
Ralf Rangnick is set to be paid a fortune in his new role at Manchester United as he looks to salvage their season following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Red Devils may have qualified for the Champions League knockout stages following their win over Villarreal under Michael Carrick, but they sit eighth in the Premier League table after 12 fixtures.
That comes during the early stages of a season in which United were planning to be challenging for the title, but they already find themselves 12 points behind leaders Chelsea.
In order to tempt Rangnick away from his role as Locomotive Moscow's sporting director, they are set to double his current pay packet with no compensation money needed.
Daily Star Sport understand that Rangnick is currently on a £3.8m-a-year deal, which will be doubled to a huge £7.6million when his role at Old Trafford begins.
That works out to weekly wages of around £150,000 a week, with his initial role as caretaker manager set to be altered to Sporting Director after six months with a permanent boss eyed.
That comes in addition to huge bonuses should he get United into the top four and win the Champions League.
One rival boss who is not completely happy with United's imminent appointment is Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who has praised the ability of his fellow German.

He said: "United will be organised on the pitch. That's not good news for other teams."
"He's a really good man and an outstanding coach," added Klopp.
"He's a really experienced manager and famously built two clubs from nowhere to proper forces in Germany – Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig.
"He's done a lot of different jobs in football, but his first concern was always being a coach, being a manager, and that's what his best skill is.
"Between the coaches and in the football world in Germany, he is very highly regarded and rightly so. Wherever he was, he did an incredible job."
With Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel adding of Rangnick: "He helped me a lot.
"He was my coach and one of the main figures to convince me to try coaching so he had a huge influence on all of us at that time.
"He showed us it's not important to follow people to the toilet in football games because that was the belief."
