Rachel Riley was sent horrific messages in the light of Manchester United announcing Mason Greenwood will be leaving the club.
United announced on Monday (August 21) that Greenwood, 21, will be continuing his future away from Old Trafford following the end of the club's internal investigation into his behaviour.
The England international had been suspended by United since January 2022, after he was arrested and charged with attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault.
In February of this year, the Crown Prosecution Service dropped all charges against Greenwood. However, he continued to face an internal investigation by his club.

Upon a report from The Athletic, which said United CEO Richard Arnold had told executives he planned on bringing Greenwood back into the fold, Riley took to social media to reveal her thoughts on the Red Devils' intentions.
On Thursday (August 17), she wrote: "I won't be able to support United if Greenwood remains at the club."
She added: "We've all seen and heard enough. Pretending this is OK would be a huge part of the problem.
"It would be devastating for my club to contribute to a culture that brushes this under the carpet. I really hope they do the right thing."
Following United's announcement, Riley was subject to sickening messages on social media from fans displeased that Greenwood would be leaving the club – many of which are too offensive to reproduce in print.
One fan wrote: "Rachel Riley are you ashamed of yourself ? You and others that chose rumours over facts have cost a young Manchester United player his career at the club.
"Disgraceful I hope it follows you forever. Greenwood is gone. But you're going to suffer terribly, You are a very useless person."
A second fan also took aim at the TV presenter by commenting: "ARE YOU HAPPY NOW? Ensure your kids don't make mistakes in the future. Otherwise, they'll be dragged and insulted. You Old witch. Where is the forgiveness in people's books. Have humanity totally lost it? Anyway, Mason Greenwood is gonna play football. U CAN'T STOP."
Greenwood himself took to social media upon the news of his exit as he wrote: "I want to start by saying I understand that people will judge me because of what they have seen and heard on social media, and I know people will think the worst.
"I was brought up to know that violence or abuse is wrong, I did not do the things I was accused of, and in February I was cleared of all charges.
"The best decision for us all, is for me to continue my football career away from Old Trafford, where my presence will not be a distraction for the club."
