Another lucky punter has walked away with an incredible six-figure pay-out thanks to Minella Indo’s Gold Cup victory at the Cheltenham Festival.
David Jackson posted his betting slip on Twitter before the start of Friday’s showpiece, showing how his four-fold accumulator needed Henry de Bromhead’s charge to win to land an eye-popping £112,854.
Having already backed three winners – with Galvin, Quilixios and Sir Gerhard all coming in, Jack Kennedy’s great late surge brought home the jackpot.
Minella Indo edged out A Plus Tard, ridden by star of the week Rachael Blackmore, to give trainer Henry de Bromhead a one-two.
The victory also capped an incredible week for de Bromhead, who also collected the Champion Hurdle and Champion Chase, becoming the first trainer to win all three of the big feature races at Cheltenham.

After the victory, Jackson tweeted: ‘Unbelievable. Thanks very much everyone. I’m in shock. Really appreciate the good wishes. Time for a beer.’
Jackson had placed his bets ante-post – when the odds on his selections were much longer.
Galvin, his first winner of the week, was 20/1 at the time of his bet and went off at 7/2 while Sir Gerhard, an 85/40 winner on Wednesday, was 16s at the time.
Quilixios was sent off at 2/1 today but Jackson made his decision when 20/1 was on offer. And he got his Gold Cup hero Minella Indo at a healthy 14/1.
It is the second time this week a winning bet has made headlines, with Paul Dean cashing out for £250,000 instead of letting his selection run on Thursday.
He was on for £512,000 from a £5 bet placed last June after picking four winners out of five ahead of odds-on favourite Envoi Allen running in the opener yesterday.
Dean had tweeted details of his bet with Betfair before eventually accepting the partial cashout. He would have scooped £322,000 Envoi Allen had won but, with jockey Kennedy on board, the favourite fell.
