PSG target Lionel Messi spotted at home in Barcelona joining kids’ "pool party"
Reports that Lionel Messi is already in Paris ahead of a move to Paris Saint-Germain appear wide of the mark after he was spotted at home with his children at a pool party.
The 34-year-old is widely-expected to complete a switch to the French giants some time this week following his emotional departure from Barcelona after 21 years.
Messi wept on Sunday as he said goodbye to the Catalan club and confirmed he was in discussions with PSG over a potential move.
Asked about the chances of him joining PSG, he said: "It is a possibility, but I have not agreed anything with anyone. I have different clubs who are interested. And nothing is definitive but clearly we are talking to them."
L'Equipe reported that the Argentine superstar would arrive in the French capital on Sunday evening or Monday morning to complete his medical with Mauricio Pochettino's side.
But that story now seems wide of the mark.
Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill is in Barcelona and claims to have seen Messi on his way to a pool party with his kids on Monday afternoon, dispelling the notion that might be in Paris.

He said: "We’ve seen the Messi children walking across there to the pool for a bit of a pool party.
"And, breaking news, we’ve seen in the last 15 minutes Lionel Messi off to join them, looking relaxed on his way to the pool.
"So suggestions he’s in the air, he’s landed in Paris, far off the mark.
"He is still in his home, relaxing and contemplating his future."
PSG have reportedly offered Messi a two-year deal worth around £42million, but the six-time Ballon d'Or winner could still move elsewhere.
Talking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Duncan Castles suggested that Manchester United may be laying the groundwork for a potential move.
He said: "It’s interesting Manchester United – who have talked about their coherent strategy and planning that have gone into their transfers and they’ve been quick to do deals for two important players in positions where they needed players in – are saying, ‘Well, can we do something for Messi?’."
Even if United are interested, PSG remain Messi's most likely destination.
