Premier League’s most valuable XI includes one Man Utd star and no Chelsea

Premier League's most valuable XI includes one Manchester United star and none from Chelsea with Liverpool and Manchester City players dominating the list.

With City winning four of the last five Premier League titles and Liverpool winning the other one as well as both domestic cups last season – they have a combined nine stars in the side.

With Liverpool's Alisson in goal at an estimated £45million, Andy Robertson (£58.50m), Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold make it into the defence alongside Ruben Dias (£67.5).

In midfield are the City duo of Phil Foden (£81m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£76.5m) and West Ham skipper Declan Rice at (£72m).

That leaves a front three of United's Sancho (£67.5m) as well as Liverpool star Mohamed Salah (£81m) and finally, the most valuable individual player, Erling Haaland (£135m).

With those numbers crunched by Transfermarkt.com, in reality they would cost far more should they be offered up for sale by their respective clubs – notably Rice.

David Moyes said earlier in the year when asked how much Rice would cost another Premier League club: "The first thing to say is that he is not for sale.

"If you are interested, well, it will be north of that (what was stated). £100m was cheap last summer. £150m just now would be minimum but he is not for sale.

"What I do know is that it means there are only certain clubs that could even consider it."

With Haaland's value shooting up to £135m following his two-goal Premier League debut, the £51.2m City paid for his services looks a bargain.

Pep Guardiola said of his striker this week: "He’s a guy with incredible talent, scores nice numbers but we would like to add something more to his game to be a better player.

"Not just a guy who scores goals, which is so important, but that’s why we want to try to give everything to him to be a better player. He was born to score goals."
