Premier League stars including Rashford buy guard dogs to ward off thieves
A spate of robberies and break-ins has caused several Premier League footballers to take to hiring guard dogs in recent months.
With thieves regularly targeting those footballers who are either on Champions League or international duty, the players are now trying to fight back.
Stars from Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa have all splashed out on guard dogs in an attempt to stop their property getting stolen.
The trend appears to have been started by the brutal robbery Dele Alli endured last May when he was hit in the face before his jewellery, worth about £350,000, was taken.

The Sun reported in December that Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Tyrone Mings and Paul Pogba have all hired dogs from the Chaperone K9 company.
Mings’ Aston Villa team-mate Jack Grealish has also used the company, while their assistant manager John Terry paid £15,000 for a dog from Chaperone K9.
The security firm appear to be popular with top-flight stars, with many featured on the company’s website, including West Ham’s Mark Noble.
Noble even added a testimonial to the website, saying "We were so impressed with our first Chaperone K9, we had to get a second."
It is obviously a profitable business for the company, who state they have many clients from elite sport.
“Chaperone K9 have built a strong reputation,” they say on their website.
“We are renowned for supplying trained dogs to the very highest quality that offer both security and love to their new families in an often unpredictable society.
“Our client base also includes premiership footballers, international rugby players, pop stars and people working in high risk environments.
