The countdown to the new Premier League season can officially begin following the unveiling of the fixture list.
Following last season’s early start and late finish due to the World Cup, the 2023/24 campaign has a more familiar look to it, with the opening games over the weekend of August 12 and final round on May 19.
Treble-winners Manchester City face a trip to Championship champions Burnley, managed by their legendary former defender Vincent Kompany, in the season curtain-raiser on Friday, August 11 (8pm).
Last season’s long-time leaders Arsenal face Nottingham Forest at home in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off. Fellow Champions League qualifiers Newcastle and Manchester United host Aston Villa and Wolves respectively.

Newcastle vs Villa will be Saturday’s late kick-off while Wolves’ visit Old Trafford will round off the opening weekend on Monday, August 14 (8pm). The most mouth-watering game of the opening weekend sees Liverpool travel to Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea.
Play-off winners Luton Town face a tough trip to Brighton in a Saturday 3pm kick-off while the other promoted side, Sheffield United, host Crystal Palace at the same time.

On the final day, when all the matches will kick-off simultaneously at 4pm, Man City will host West Ham while Arsenal host Everton. Newcastle visit Brentford while Man United go to Brighton.
Liverpool face Wolves at Anfield, while Bournemouth travel to Chelsea. Luton will be at home on the final day as Fulham visit Kenilworth Road.
