The third gameweek of the new Premier League season kicks off on Saturday with a number of intriguing-looking fixtures to get stuck into. The early game sees Tottenham host Wolves as Antonio Conte’s side look to maintain their unbeaten start and move, at least temporarily, to the top of the table.

The 3pm fixtures see two Premier League midfield legends take each other on as Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace welcome Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa to Selhurst Park, while Frank Lampard will be desperate for Everton to pick up their first points of the season against newly-promoted Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park.

There is a west London derby at Craven Cottage as Fulham take on high-flying Brentford, while Leicester vs Southampton promises goals, with both teams having conceded six goals apiece in their two games so far.

Finally, the 5.30pm kick-off sees Arsenal travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth, with the Gunners buzzing off their scintillating start to the campaign.

Team news

So, what are we expecting from Antonio Conte and Bruno Lage today?

We know that centre-back Cristian Romero will be missing for Tottenham after suffering a muscle injury during last weekend’s dramatic 2-2 draw with Chelsea. Davinson Sanchez looks his most likely replacement in the starting XI.

For Wolves, meanwhile, Matheus Nunes could be handed a debut after the Portuguese midfielder completed a club record-breaking move from Sporting Lisbon. His compatriot Joao Moutinho could make his first appearance of the season after returning to training this week.
