The Premier League’s big six are set to go head-to-head again in the 2023-24 season with the battle to secure the Premier League title and Champions League spots becomes increasingly more difficult.

Pep Guardiola’s Treble winners secured their third consecutive Premier League title after holding off the challenge of Arsenal, following the Gunners impressive season under Mikel Arteta.

Manchester United will seek to continue their improvement under Erik ten Hag with his first season in the Old Trafford dugout ending with a third place finish and Champions League football secured.

Liverpool will be looking to secure a return to Europe’s elite competition after missing out on the top four to Newcastle, with Eddie Howe’s side threatening to break up the established big six.

Tottenham and Chelsea have new managers in Ange Postecoglou and Mauricio Pochettino, with the pair entrusted to revive the clubs fortunes are both endured torrid campaigns and missed out on places in Europe.

The first North London Derby of the season will take place at the Emirates in September

Champions Man City face last season’s runners-up Arsenal for the first time in October

Chelsea will want to immediately put their miserable 2022-23 season behind them under Pochettino and the Argentine will have to hit the ground running on the opening weekend when the Blues host Liverpool.

The first big six clash of the season will quickly be followed by the second, with Ange Postecoglou’s first home match in charge of Tottenham coming against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.

United will again be away in north London in September when they travel to Arsenal. The Gunners will then host the first North London derby of the season on September 23, with Spurs then hosting Liverpool a week later continuing a blockbuster month.

The Treble winner first big six encounter comes against the side who pushed them to the final weeks of the Premier League season, with Guardiola’s side travelling to the Emirates to face Arsenal on October 7.

The first Manchester Derby of the season will take place at Old Trafford on October 28, as Ten Hag’s side look to assert themselves as contenders to challenge City.

Pochettino will make his return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on November 4, with the welcome the Argentine receives as Chelsea boss likely to be a talking point.

The big six will clash four times in December with Manchester United’s visit to Anfield the headline match on the 16th. Jurgen Klopp’s side will immediately have to to turn their attentions to their match with Arsenal on December 23.

Man United’s home fixture against Tottenham is the opening big six clash of 2024 on January 13, with Liverpool and Chelsea going head-to-head on January 31.

Arsenal will travel to Man United on the penultimate week of the Premier League season

Chelsea have two tough tests in February with the Blues travelling to the Etihad, before hosting Spurs at Stamford Bridge a week later.

City face a similar situation at the start of March with a home Manchester Derby followed by a trip to Anfield to face Liverpool in consecutive weeks.

Arsenal face will host Chelsea at the midpoint of the month, before an away trip to Man City with the Gunners hoping to be challenging for a second consecutive season at this stage of the campaign.

Manchester United face a challenging turnaround at the start of April, with an evening kick-off at Stamford Bridge on the third, coming just three days prior to a home match against bitter rivals Liverpool.

As the run-in ramps up Tottenham will face big six opponents in three consecutive weekends, beginning with home matches against Man City on April 20 and the second North London derby on the 27th. Spurs will then make the trip to Anfield on May 4.

Manchester United and Arsenal will clash on penultimate weekend of the season on May 11, which both sides will hope is part of a respective title challenges.
