Tottenham chief Daniel Levy has been left reportedly irritated by the incessant rumours surrounding Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine might be the next manager on the Paris Saint-Germain chopping block despite winning the Ligue 1 title at the weekend. There is an uneasy tension at the club after their dramatic exit from the Champions League.
That competition is essentially all that the club's Qatari owners care about but they have made little progress in the competition – barely even reaching the latter stages despite the millions that are spent at the Parc des Princes on a yearly basis.
The fans booed Pochettino during their 1-1 draw against Lens on Saturday night that clinched them the title, which had been won months ago in truth. It appears that it is just a matter of when not if the 50-year-old is dismissed, following in the footsteps of Thomas Tuchel and Unai Emery in recent years.
Reports in France indicated that Conte has already offered his services to PSG and he is the frontrunner to replace Pochettino. Zinedine Zidane is also in the frame while sporting director Leonardo could also be on way out.
But the speculation surrounding Conte has irritated Tottenham chief Levy, according to The Athletic, who sees it as yet another unwanted saga on the brink of the transfer window opening. Last year, he had to bat away links over Harry Kane's departure amid heavy rumours that Manchester City were set to snap up the striker.

There is also a feeling that Conte has done little to suppress the reports of his unhappiness in north London while he has made no secret of his feelings in the past. His constant talk of wanting to win titles and not fight for a top-four spot indicates that his position at Tottenham might not be a stable one.
PSG would be able to give the Italian the funds that he has craved at nearly every job he has been in. He has had problems with board members at Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan over what he has perceived as a lack of effort in the transfer window.
Should Conte leave for Paris, it would be yet another chapter in the sorry story since Pochettino's sacking. However, Levy might find some solace in the fact that he could turn back to the Argentine – who, himself, might have found that the grass is not always greener on the other side.
