Piers Morgan’s six Arsenal transfer targets ‘would require full sale of club’

Football fans have joked Piers Morgan's list of Arsenal targets will require a "full sale of the club".

The TV personality tweeted he'd like to see Mikel Arteta bring in Napoli star Kim Min-jae, Moises Caicedo, Declan Rice, Kaoru Mitoma, and Serie A standouts Victor Oshimen or Dusan Vlahovic – off the back of the news Arteta will be handed a huge sum this summer.

According to The Times, Arteta will be given £200million to work with this summer, but that wouldn't be enough for all six. Instead, Arsenal fans have joked that would require a "full sale" to try and land the six men.

One fan tweeted: "There is something called Financial Fair Play and also ownership intent. This wish list would first require a complete sale of the club!"

"I remember the first time I played career mode," a second joked. While a third tweeted: "The players you listed are worth around 400-450 million, no club is spending that much in one window!"

"So Arsenal fans want Rice and Caicedo now? What happened to your best DM in the league," a fifth joked. And another said: "If City spent this in one window, we'd get accused of causing an international economic depression!"

Morgan had claimed Arsenal should have signed Cristiano Ronaldo when he left Manchester United over the World Cup. The Talk TV host and Ronaldo are close, with the Portuguese airing his bombshell interview with Morgan.

He tweeted: "Mock all you like, but if we’d signed Ronaldo when he left Utd, until the end of the season – as he was keen to do btw – we would have won the League. He knows how to win major trophies, and how to score goals when it really matters!"
