Pep Guardiola’s son Marius showed he’s a chip off the old block as the pair emerged victorious over Ronald Koeman and his boy in a round of golf.

The Manchester City and Barcelona coaches – who were team-mates together at the Nou Camp – were able to put football aside as they enjoyed a game together with their sons, and it was the Spaniard who came out on top after swapping the pitch for the fairway.

Guardiola is a keen golfer and often enjoys a few rounds with his son Marius. In 2018 he was invited to play a game with professional Tommy Fleetwood – with the pair developing a close friendship.

And the former Barca boss has clearly been taking a few tips from the Englishman as he got one over his former Premier League rival Koeman.

The four were in good spirits after the game as the huddled up with their clubs and posed for a picture on the green.

In addition to 18-year-old Marius, Guardiola has two daughters – Maria, 20 and Valentina, 13, with his wife Cristina Serra. The family have previously been seen celebrating Manchester City’s title wins on the Etihad pitch.

Koeman, meanwhile, has two sons – Ronald Jr, who was out on the course with him against the Guardiolas, and Tim with wife Debbie.

Their contrast in success on the green was similar on the football pitch – with Guardiola ending the season with the Premier League title and the Carabao Cup trophies, while Koeman had to make do with the Copa Del Rey after missing out on the LaLiga crown.

Koeman, who recently survived a review by the club into his future as boss, has gone up against Guardiola as a manager three times from his tenure at Everton – drawing two and losing one.

The pair played together at Barcelona for five seasons – forming part of Johan Cruyff’s famous team as they won the European Cup and four league titles together.
