Harry Kane has suffered penalty heartbreak after smashing his effort over the bar when England needed him most.
After being handed a second spot-kick in the match against France, the Tottenham striker could not repeat his heroics from earlier in the match where he converted from 12 yards.
With five minutes left on the clock, it was a crucial moment in the match after Olivier Giroud had scored a header to see the French take the lead once again. Kane had equalised for the Three Lions earlier in the contest but could not do it again after being handed a golden opportunity.

Mason Mount was fouled by Theo Hernandez after the French left-back charged through the Chelsea man's back with the ball hanging in the air. However, it took referee Wilton Sampaio a second look before giving the penalty.
After initially giving nothing, VAR referred the Brazilian official to the monitor where he changed his mind. But it ended up meaning nothing after Kane, who is usually so reliable from 12 yards, smashed his effort miles over the bar.
It comes after a frantic 80 minutes beforehand, where both sides had brilliant chances.
It was Aurelien Tchouameni who opened the scoring for Les Bleus, netting a screamer that left Jordan Pickford flapping – much to Roy Keane's disdain. However, there was controversy after it appeared that Bukayo Saka had been fouled in the build-up to the goal.
After initially having a penalty waved away, England finally got their wish when Saka was brought down by Tchouameni in the box. But there was disappointment when Giroud bulleted a header past Pickford.
England had looked decent going forward and gave the French defence plenty of trouble but could not truly test Hugo Lloris, except one stretching save from Jude Bellingham who rocketed one towards goal.
