Paul Pogba teases "it’s time" with Juventus return closing in after Man Utd exit

Paul Pogba's return to Juventus is imminent after the French star posted a message saying "it's time" on his Instagram account.

Pogba is expected to rejoin the Italian giants in the coming days after leaving Manchester United at the end of last month. And the 29-year-old ramped up the excitement among his followers with a teaser video on social media on Friday morning.

Filmed on-board a private jet, Pogba, wearing a jacket in the famous black and white colours of the Old Lady, stares at the camera before glancing away and taking a quick look at his surroundings. As the footage zooms in on his face, the former United midfielder points towards the lens and says: "It's time."

A nodding Pogba then repeats the phrase before rubbing his hands together and looking out of the window at the sky. The video ends with the Frenchman saying something in Italian and laughing.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirmed Pogba's imminent return to Juventus on Twitter. "'See you soon'", he wrote, quoting the video on the star's Instagram account.

"Paul Pogba, flying to Turin: he’s arriving in the afternoon in order to complete his comeback to Juventus. Juventus Medical tomorrow and club official statement to follow. Pogba, back to Juventus."

Pogba earned a reputation as one of the world's best midfielders during his first spell at Juventus from 2012 until 2016. He scored 34 goals and provided 40 assists in 177 appearances for the Italian giants to earn a world record £89million move back to United.

But the French World Cup winner could not replicate the same form he showed in Turin with the Red Devils. Pogba flattered to deceive under four different managers, including Jose Mourinho.

Poor form, attitude problems and injuries dogged his six seasons with the 13-time Premier League champions. Last month he said he wanted to show United that they had made a mistake by letting him go after ripping into them over his new contract offer.

Speaking in his Amazon Prime documentary named The Pogmentary, Pogba said: "My thought process is to show Manchester that they made a mistake in waiting to give me a contract. And to show other clubs that Manchester had made a mistake in not offering me a contract."

Pogba looks set to get that chance back at the Allianz Stadium next season, where he will look to guide Juventus back to the top of Serie A after two years without a title.
