Paul Pogba leaves Man Utd fans in awe with stunning skill in France training
Paul Pogba is arguably one of the Premier League's most divisive stars, but his talent is indisputable.
The 28-year-old proved his leadership qualities in France's last major tournament appearance, where he gave his teammates a rousing speech ahead of the World Cup final, inspiring them to a 4-2 victory over Croatia to seal his nation's fate as world champions for the second time.
Pogba has struggled to hit such heights at club level, showing flashes of his genius during his second spell at Manchester United but failing to help restore them to their former glories.
However, he is still adored by the Old Trafford faithful, who couldn't help but wax lyrical over their star's skills after a video emerged of him ball juggling while in training for France.
Fans took to Reddit after the clip was uploaded to heap praise on the former Juventus man, whose technical prowess means he is likely to be one of the first names on 'Les Bleus' team sheet throughout the European Championships.
One user wrote: "Such a ridiculous player. Our fan base don’t always appreciate how good he is."
Another United fan took the opportunity to take a shot at long-time Pogba critic Graeme Souness, who has often called into question the player's commitment while on punditry duties.
He explained: "Seriously, Souness sounds like an absolute moron when he is talking about Pogba. Pogba is easily one of the world's best central midfielders. So strong and so talented."
Some fans were left salivating over the idea of watching Pogba link up with his teammates, such as Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann, with one user claiming: "Watching him and Griezmann do 1/2 touch together is so satisfying."
The midfielder has already called on his France side to ensure complacency does not creep into their game, despite their status as tournament favourites.
Speaking to TF1 , he said: “You can’t see yourself as being too beautiful. You shouldn’t see yourself as beautiful at all. I don’t want to get carried away too much because we’ve already been built up enough, I think.
“Of course it’s scary for other teams, but it can also be scary for us too. It can put pressure on us because of the team we have, that we feel that we’re guaranteed to win or even to always score three goals.
“People are going to expect all of this. But that’s not football. It’s the ego that kills you. In this squad, there is none. There is not one person above another."
