Paul Pogba has been ruled out for almost two months after undergoing surgery on his right knee on Monday, according to reports.

Pogba has yet to feature for the Italian giants since making his free move to the Allianz Stadium from Manchester United this summer.

The 29-year-old left Manchester United to join the Serie A club on a free transfer this summer

According to L’Equipe, the surgeon said the following after Pogba went under the knife: ‘In agreement with the Juventus doctors, we have indicated a necessary time of eight weeks so that Pogba can return to the team and resume collective training.

‘This is the estimated time. After that, we need to evaluate the conditions and reactions when he starts to strain.’

The 29-year-old revealed on social media on Tuesday that the operation was a success and that he anticipated returning in the near future.

He also insisted that he was holding up well despite the recent allegations made against by his brother Mathias Pogba, which implicate him in a scandal pertaining to Kylian Mbappe.

Mathias had accused his younger brother last month of using a witch doctor to cast a spell on the PSG superstar.

The World Cup winner said: ‘The operation went very well, I’m going to recover and come back very, very quickly. I wanted to thank you all for your messages, for your support.

‘Know that mentally I’m okay despite all the worries, the injury, and the other problems. Mentally I’m okay.’
