Paul Pogba has reportedly tested positive for testosterone and could be banned for up to four years.
The Juventus and France midfielder, 30, is said to have returned the positive test after a Serie A fixture against Udinese on August 20 – in which he was an unused substitute.
That's according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, who add testosterone is a banned substance that carries no therapeutic exemption, meaning he risks a maximum ban of up to four years.
Pogba has suffered a number of injury setbacks since returning to the Old Lady from Manchester United on a free transfer last summer, making just six league appearances last season and coming off the bench twice so far in the new campaign.

It's claimed he now has three days to produce a counter-analysis of the result and is set to be suspended while an investigation is carried out.
Should he be found guilty, the National Anti-Doping Tribunal could slap him with a two-year ban – or double it if they deem the alleged doping was intentional.
Testosterone is a hormone which can help to increase muscle size and strength, as well as induce faster recovery from physical activity. It can be found in a whole host of drugs and medications.
The bombshell news comes after Pogba spoke to Qatar-owned network Al Jazeera in an interview published today (September 11), where he admitted to considering retirement over alleged extortion and threats from an organised gang.
He filed a complaint with Turin prosecutors in July of last year claiming he was the target of a €13m (£11.1m) blackmail plot – which he claims includes his brother Mathias.
"Sometimes I was just by myself thinking, 'I don't want to have money anymore. I just don't want to play anymore," Pogba said.
"I just want to be with normal people, so they will love me for me – not for the fame, not for the money'. Sometimes it's tough. This life, you have to go through it. It will only make me stronger."
