Otavio to Liverpool transfer ‘imminent’ while Reds join fight for Man Utd target
Liverpool secured the top four on the final day of the season after a difficult campaign plagued by injury troubles to various key players.
It was a busy season as they aimed to defend their Premier League crown, but a mid-season slump meant that securing Champions League football would have to be the aim, and they did that by piping Leicester to a place.
Now, they want to rebuild, and after seeing a key player in the form of Georginio Wijnaldum leave, they’re keen to add a midfielder.
They’ve already signed Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig and will want to strengthen in other positions as well.

Otavio deal imminent
A deal for Porto midfielder Otavio is imminent, according to reports from A Bola in Portugal.
The Reds have been looking for a replacement for the departed Georginio Wijnaldum and looked to have settled on the 26-year-old Porto player.
The Brazilian has a €40m release clause which expires at the end of June, after which any deal will cost €60m, so Liverpool will want to get the transfer wrapped up quickly.

Christoph Baumgartner linked
According to German outlet Kicker, Liverpool are interested in making a move for Hoffenheim’s Austrian midfielder Christoph Baumgartner.
The player has impressed at Euro 2020 and the Reds have taken notice of that, but the deal could be complicated as he has a deal at his club until 2025.
Additionally, if Baumgartner is wanted, he’s also chased by Manchester United so there is competition for his signature.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Liverpool are paying attention to Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez situation as they hope to make a move
The Spanish midfielder is keen to leave the La Liga champions this summer with many clubs, including Manchester United, interested, and Liverpool may make a move to.
The player will cost at least €40m if any move is to be made by the Reds.
