Oleksandr Zinchenko shoves former Man City team-mates away after losing his cool

Oleksandr Zinchenko shoved his Manchester City teammate’s in anger after Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup.

The Ukrainian defender returned to the Etihad to face his former side on Friday night. Zinchenko was initially rested for the cup tie but was brought on in an attempt to salvage a result in the second half.

Unfortunately for Zinchenko, he was bested by his former colleagues as Arsenal crashed out of the competition following a 1-0 defeat. And the 26-year-old appeared furious as the cameras caught him tussling with City stars after the final whistle.

Zinchenko appeared annoyed as he lectured Ilkay Gundogan while wagging a finger in his face. Without another Arsenal player in sight, Gundogan laughed it off with a ruffle of his hair while Jack Grealish held Zinchenko’s face in a friendly manner.

The cameras then caught an ever more angry-looking Zinchenko giving a death stare, before having to be restrained by ex-teammate Joao Cancelo. Ruben Dias was also spotted laughing while the left-back was calmed down.

The bizarre interaction saw ITV’s official Twitter account post the clip with the caption: “Not sure if Zinchenko is happy or angry here,” alluding to the way in which City's players appeared to be joking with him.

Another tweeted: “Are they trying to play mind games? Very weird,” while a third wrote: “This will fire up Zinchenko more for league game,” in reference to the two sides’ crucial upcoming Premier League clash.

Zinchenko was yellow carded for a challenge on Bernardo Silva late in the game, after which he yelled out in frustration.
