Ole Gunnar Solskjaer issues Edinson Cavani update ahead of Man Utd v Everton

Edinson Cavani should be fit for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Everton on Saturday.

Cavani came off at half-time with an ankle issue during United's Premier League record-equalling 9-0 win over Southampton on Tuesday.

But United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the Urguayan striker, who has led the attack for the last two games, should be fit to face Everton at Old Trafford.

"Edinson should be available, yeah, definitely," said Solskjaer. "He got a bad ankle knock. Eric Bailly is a doubt, but apart from that everyone's raring to go."

The Everton game marks Solskjaer's 100th as a Premier League manager, including his spell at Cardiff, with the 47-year-old admitting the game has moved on since he first started out in 2014.

"I'm a bit older and wiser, hopefully, and have a lot more grey up top," said Solskjaer. "But I've really enjoyed it.

"I didn't know it was my 100th game, what you learn in this game is that you've got to keep up with the pace. The difference from when I started in 2014 with Cardiff to now is a different ball game.

"Players get better and better, fitter and fitter, it's more tactical. I've enjoyed not every one of them, and it's all about testing yourself against good coaches and managers."

Tomorrow's game will be played on the 63rd anniversary of the Munich air disaster, which claimed the lives of 23 people, including eight United players.

Solskjaer said: "It's only the fourth time the game will have been played on the actual anniversary and it's important we put on a fitting performance and hopefully we can honour them with the result.

"It's such an important part of our history and we have spoken to the players who come into the club, who've not been here and are part of this anniversary.

"It's a big day for everyone and has always been an emotional one. Hopefully we can put a team out that shows the Manchester United spirit."
