Notts Forest fans shower Derby supporters with fake bank notes over money woes
Nottingham Forest fans were spotted showering Derby supporters with fake bank notes ahead of their Championship clash, poking fun at the perilous financial position of their rivals.
Others were seen waving real notes at their counterparts, with their club being in administration since as far back as September 22 last year.
The actions of Forest fans come after a furious Gary Neville said that it would be inconceivable for the former Premier League side to go out of business.
Having been docked 12 points for going into administration and a further nine for financial irregularities, their return of eight wins from 26 matches has seen them climb off the bottom of the table.
Despite there being plenty of support for their plight, a handful of Forest hands had no sympathy.
A social media user described their actions ahead of their lunchtime Championship encounter on Saturday as 'weird behaviour' and anther saying it was 's***housing of the highest order'.
One fan wrote: "Forest fans taking the p*** out of Derby potentially getting liquidated, waving pound notes around. Proper weird behaviour that."

With a second adding: "Forest fans waving fake notes are derby fans. What goes around comes around. Don't like see any team going to wall. This should be lively affair."
A third continued: "Already notes being thrown into the derby end hahahaha."
With a fourth adding: "Forest fans showering Derby fans in the tier below with fake bank notes. S***housing of the highest order."
Earlier in the month, Derby boss Rooney called for help in their plight to avoid going bust.
"The players deserve a lot of praise, because the last 24, 48 hours have been extremely difficult," he said after their 2-0 win over Sheffield United.
"To lose two players in Graeme Shinnie and Phil Jagielka who I wanted to keep, have players lined up to come in and not be able to do anything, has been tough, so to put a performance up like they did, they deserve a lot of credit.
"My relationship with all the players is built on trust and honesty, but I can't look them in the eye where we are at the minute and give them anything really, I can just prepare them and get them ready."
