Nottingham Forest stars ready to go ‘full Grealish’ after play-off final victory
Jack Grealish is the inspiration for Nottingham Forest's stars after they promised to emulate his celebrations after securing Premier League promotion.
Forest secured promotion to the top flight for the first time since 1999, and after the final whistle the champagne was being sprayed and the beers were flowing in the changing rooms. And just seven days earlier, it was Grealish that was leading the celebrations for Manchester City as they won the Premier League title.
It was Grealish's first title, and the Premier League's record signing went on a three-day bender to celebrate in style. And Forest defender Steve Cook promised to go 'full Jack Grealish' as the city prepare to match his celebrations.
Following the full-time whistle, Forest's Steve Cook promised while being covered in champagne: "Now, we are going to go full Jack Grealish." And the Forest stars have already started celebrating as Wembley already had well-stocked fridges of beer waiting for the Premier League newcomers.
Empty cans were seen all over the floor as Forest's stars posed for pictures in the dressing room, and it's expected that the party will continue in Nottingham when they parade in the city. It was during City's parade after winning the Premier League that Grealish trended online for his drunken antics.
The City star was seen having the time of his life, as he paraded with drinks and produced some hilarious content for fans to enjoy. And the following day he jetted off to Ibiza to continue his celebrations.
Grealish even promised to Roy Keane on Sky Sports that his celebrations would continue for "three, maybe four days" as he soaked up the title win, and plenty of beer. And Forest will probably exceed that, as they've waited 23 years for this moment.
They'll enjoy their celebrations, but then it will quickly be time to prepare for the season ahead. Promoted clubs have a tough task staying in the Premier League at the first time of asking, and even this season Norwich and Watford were relegated back to the Championship after being promoted the previous year.
Only Brentford survived out of the promoted sides, and Steve Cooper will be eager to make Forest a consistent Premier League side once again. Cooper said: "We've reminded the world how special this club is."
