Nottingham Forest branded ‘wettest squad ever’ for dressing room antics

The dressing room dancing of Nottingham Forest players has not gone down well with rival fans on social media – with one branding them the 'wettest' squad ever.

Steve Cooper's men very much enjoyed their Premier League win over Leeds at the weekend which ended up getting Jesse Marsch the sack, with another Jesse in the form of Lingard leading the dressing room celebrations.

An extended clip posted by top scorer Brennan Johnson showcased the routine, with Serge Aurier and Willy Boly involved among others as Praise the Lord (Da Shine) by A$AP Rocky featuring Skepta blasted out on their speakers.

A rival Premier League fan wrote: "Defo the wettest squad in the premier league."

A Forest fan hit back: "Soon to be wettest team in the top half of the prem."

Another rival posted: "For this and for this alone… I hope they get relegated."

A fourth said: "Squad harmony is what will make an average squad perform above their talents."

In case you're wondering, dictionary.com describes the use of wet in this instance as insulting someone considered weak, whiny, or foolish.

That doesn't fit with the recent form of Forest, who sit 13th in the Premier League table with three wins from four matches having gone five unbeaten.

That run has come while they had to juggle qualification into the semi-final of the Carabao Cup, in which they fell to a 5-0 aggregate defeat to Manchester United.

Speaking after their latest victory, which puts the newly promoted side six points clear of the bottom three, Cooper said: "Even though that's probably the first time we've won a game where we've not played great this year, and maybe we deserve that, I'll say.

"But at the same time the first half, we’ve got to play better in the Premier League to try and pick up wins and points."
