Noel Gallagher insists he didn't want Cristiano Ronaldo to join his beloved Manchester City – tipping him to go down as another Alexis Sanchez at Manchester United.
Ronaldo was reportedly on the verge of completing a shock move to City before the Red Devils hijacked the deal to bring their former hero back to Old Trafford.
The 36-year-old performed a drastic U-turn to pen a two-year deal with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, returning to United 12 years after departing for Real Madrid.
With CR7 in his ranks, many believe Solskjaer now has enough quality at his disposal to mount a serious Premier League title challenge this season.

He only managed to bag five goals in 45 appearances and was then offloaded to Inter Milan on loan in 2019, before making the move permanent a year later.
