Nike issues statement on Mason Greenwood after allegations against Man Utd star
Nike have issued a statement claiming they are “deeply concerned” following allegations of abuse by Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood.
Greenwood has been accused of attacking his girlfriend in a number of shocking posts on social media this morning.
Harriet Robson, the girlfriend of 20-year-old Greenwood, claimed the forward left her with a bloodied face and bruises all over her body.
In a series of horrific story posts to her public Instagram account, which has over 200,000 followers, Robson shared a series of photos, a video and sound clips claiming to show injuries she sustained from him.
And now Nike, who sponsor the capped Englishman, have spoken on the matter for the first time.
As reported by The Athletic, Nike issued a statement which read: “We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation.”
Greenwood has not commented on the allegations.
The first video posted showed Robson with what appeared to be blood rushing from her nose and face, with the caption reading: "To everyone that wants to know what Mason Greenwood really does to me."
Robson then posted a number of pictures with what looked like bruises all over her body.
Meanwhile, Manchester United responded to Daily Star Sport this morning, with a statement reading: "We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media.
"We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind."
Greater Manchester Police today also said: "Greater Manchester Police is aware of images and videos circulating on social media. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
Greenwood and his childhood sweetheart Robson broke up briefly in 2020 after the striker was kicked out of Gareth Southgate's England camp for bringing Icelandic models back to his hotel on international duty.

The 20-year-old became Manchester United's youngest ever player in the Champions League in recent years, making his debut against Paris Saint Germain at the age of 17 years and 156 days.
