Neymar has returned to Paris Saint-Germain training as the Ligue 1 champions re-unite for the first day of their pre-season.
It comes as the Brazilian had missed the majority of last season after undergoing surgery to remedy an issue in his ankle.
The 31-year-old’s time at the Parc des Princes has been plagued with injuries, with this being one of the worst ones yet.
Mail Sport understands that PSG were aware of the problems when they signed him from Barcelona all the way back in 2017, with his ankle issue being flagged up during his medical with the club.
He twisted his ankle during a game against Lille back in February sustaining ligament damage, just a meagre three months on after he suffered a similar problem at the Qatar World Cup.

The soft tissue injury left him unable to play in PSG’s Champions League last 16 second leg against Bayern Munich, which the Parisian’s ultimately lost 2-0.
Some speculation has revolved over whether he will stay in Paris too, with rumours mounting that he could be pushing for a move back to Barcelona.
His contract in Paris will expire in 2025 but he does have an option to extend that deal further by a year, in a similar vein to Kylian Mbappe, who has ruffled feathers at the club amid talk he could leave the club.
Despite that, the Parisian side welcomed back its playing cohort, with Neymar returning to the the training ground to undergo the medical examination and physio.
Pictures posted online by the club showed the team being checked over by club medical staff before some were put through their paces in the gym.

Neymar, who scored 13 goals in 20 matches for the Parisians, was seen getting several tests done, including some physio work on one of his legs.
He’ll now re-unite with his former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique, who was appointed the new PSG manager last week.
Several new faces were also pictured at the training ground including Lucas Hernandez and Manuel Ugarte, who both recently signed for the club.
The French champions will now spend the remainder of the week getting back into the swing of things before heading out to Japan for a pre-season tournament.
