Neymar has been named as the biggest crybaby in football.
The Brazil star, 30, has had his critics over the years, with some saying that he goess to ground too easily and throws strops when things don’t come off for him. Now BonusFinder gathered data on the most emotional football players in men’s football and found how Neymar is the worst of them all.
The site states its ‘research was conducted by counting the number of important games star players cried in. This includes last game before retirement, knock-out stages of European / International competitions, “remontadas” and finals. The players were then ranked from most emotional to least emotional based on the number of times they shed a tear in these games.’
Coming in second is Cristiano Ronaldo, who famously blubbered after Portugal lost to Belgium in the round of 16 in Euro 2020. Four years before that, the superstar also cried during the Euro 2016 final when Portugal played France in the final. And in the Euro 2004 campaign, too.
Elsewhere on the list, and coming in at second is Luis Suarez, with the image of him crying while sitting on the pitch and looking at his phone just after Atletico Madrid won La Liga last season going down as one of the most iconic moments of the past several years.
