Neville has no shame admitting he’s "f****** buzzing" as Liverpool lose final
Gary Neville has shown he has no shame in admitting he is "f****** buzzing" after Liverpool lost the Champions League final to Real Madrid.
Jurgen Klopp's side were narrowly beaten at the Stade de France in Paris on Saturday night, with Vinicius Jr's second half goal proving the difference as they fell to a 1-0 defeat. The Reds had been hoping to secure a seventh European crown in the French capital but were kept at bay by an inspired performance from Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Following the match, former Manchester United defender Neville took to Twitter to show he was revelling in Liverpool's crushing defeat.
"It’s really normal to be happy tonight if you’re a united fan! I’m f@@@@@g ecstatic!" wrote Neville, who won the Champions League twice with United during his career.
Earlier in the night, Neville had also taken to social media to comment on the chaotic scenes outside the stadium which had caused the start of the match to be delayed.
Neville, who has worked as a pundit for Sky Sports since hanging up his boots, admitted he was "not surprised" by BT Sport's coverage of the drama unfolding outside of the ground.

After The Athletic's Adam Crafton had tweeted about his surprise that BT Sport did not have a reporter outside the stadium, Neville responded by adding: "Are you surprised? I’m not. They can’t react or aren’t agile to things like this happening."
A large number of Liverpool fans were unable to enter the stadium prior to kick-off, with security staff reportedly using tear gas and pepper spray on supporters attempting to get into the Stade de France.
As a result of the chaos in getting fans into the venue, kick-off was pushed back twice before the match finally got underway half an hour after the scheduled kick-off time.
Once the match did start, Liverpool were repeatedly denied by Courtois either side of Vinicius Jr's winning goal as the Spanish giants claimed their 14th European title in the French capital.
