Napoli have shock £30m bid for Wolves star rejected as Molineux club prepare to sell defender Nathan Collins to Brentford for £23m
- Brentford are close to agreement on a £23m deal with Wolves for Nathan Collins
- Napoli reached out with a £30m offer for his defensive partner Max Kilman, 26
- However, Wolves have attached a much higher price tag to the defender
Brentford are close to agreement on a £23million deal for Wolves defender Nathan Collins.
Mail Sport exclusively revealed Brentford’s interest in the 22-year-old, with boss Thomas Frank keen to add a Premier League proven centre back to his ranks.
Collins only joined Wolves last summer from Burnley for £20.5m after the Midlands side held off late interest from rival clubs, including Tottenham, to sign him.
However, Brentford – who have already signed Mark Flekken and Kevin Schade this summer – wanted to secure his services ahead of the 2023-2024 campaign.
Collins is not the only player Wolves have been approached about this summer. Napoli reached out with a £30m offer for his defensive partner Max Kilman.

But, the Molineux club have rejected £30m offer for the 26-year-old – who missed the end of the 2022-2023 season due to an ankle injury.
Nevertheless, Kilman had been outstanding for Wolves and had been on the fringes of England selection before his injury curtailed his season.
Therefore, the Premier League side are reluctant to let the defender leave the club this summer for any less than £40m.
They believe the 26-year-old, who has made 107 appearances for the club since joining from Maidenhead in 2018, will be vital for them next season.
Meanwhile, the Serie A giants view Kilman as a potential replacement for Bayern Munich-bound Kim Min-jae.
