Mourinho’s blunt response to Pogba’s damning quotes about Man Utd spell

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has fired back at Manchester United star Paul Pogba after his recent damning comments of the 58-year-old’s time at Old Trafford.

Pogba let rip at Mourinho in light of their 3-1 win over Spurs last Sunday, after the Portuguese did the same to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Frenchman praised his current manager’s more personable approach, claiming that Mourinho almost discarded players at times as his relationship with him began to deteriorate before he was sacked.

The 28-year-old told Sky Sports: "What I have now with Ole is different, he wouldn't go against the players. He wouldn't go against the players.

"Maybe Ole wouldn't pick them, but it's not like he puts them on the side like they don't exist anymore. That's the difference between Mourinho and Ole.

"Once I had a great relationship with Mourinho, everybody saw that, and the next day you don't know what happened.

"That's the strange thing I had with Mourinho and I cannot explain to you because even I don't know. So, yeah."

Mourinho responded to the comments after Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Everton on Friday night, as their top four chase took another hit.

And the Portuguese was rather blunt in his reply.

"I would like to say that I couldn't care less with what he says." he replied when asked by Sky Sports. "I am not interested at all."

Pogba went on to explain his comments on the contrasting styles between Solskjaer and Mourinho, pointing to the fine form of Luke Shaw this season, who struggled much of time under Mourinho.
