Mohamed Salah could break yet another Liverpool record when he lines up against Manchester United this afternoon. Liverpool are aiming to extend their unbeaten start to the Premier League season at the home of their bitter rivals.
Salah has been in superb form for the Reds, having scored in his last nine matches in all competitions.
The Egyptian has been described as the best player in the world on current form by his manager Jurgen Klopp.
And his stunning start to the campaign could continue this weekend.
According to GB News, Salah could become the first Liverpool player ever to score in three consecutive matches at Old Trafford.
The forward netted twice in the FA Cup fourth round defeat by United in January this year.
Salah opened the scoring and equalised to make it 2-2 in the second half but the Red Devils ran out 3-2 winners.
The 29-year-old then scored Liverpool’s fourth in the 4-2 Premier League win against United in May.
Having already scored 12 goals this season, Salah will be confident of registering again later today.

The match has been billed by many as Cristiano Ronaldo vs Salah.
It will be Ronaldo’s first game against Liverpool as a United player for over 12 years.
The Portugal superstar has scored six goals since his summer return to United but hasn’t netted in his last three league outings.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sided with his player when asked to compare Ronaldo and Salah but gave credit where it’s due to the Liverpool star.
“I’ll always back Cristiano in any competition,” Solskjaer said.
“He’s unique. That being said, Salah, at the moment, he’s on fire. We know we have to be at our best to defend against him.
“We have to enjoy the players, [though] not Salah on Sunday, of course.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says there is no need to compare the two players.
“I never thought about that,” said Klopp. “Why should we compare Cristiano Ronaldo and Mo Salah? Obviously both are world-class players, so that’s how it is.
“I would say even when Ronaldo’s left foot is not that bad, but I would say Mo’s left foot is probably better.
“Maybe then Cristiano in the air is slightly better and the right foot is probably better. But speed-wise they are both pretty quick, very desperate to score goals – so maybe that’s it.”
