Mino Raiola explains negotiation tactic that relies on him being "short and fat"
Agent Mino Raiola is one of the most famous faces in football to have never even stepped on the pitch, and he has revealed a factor that has really benefited his career.
The Italian is famed for getting the very best deal for his client, whilst also ensuring his pay gets a ‘minor’ boost for sorting the negotiations too.
Raiola is currently the agent of some of Europe’s most talented footballers, including Borussia Dortmund’sErling Haaland and Manchester United’sPaul Pogba.
But why do all of these top talents, including the strong-minded Zlatan Ibrahimovic, want Raiola as their representative?
The 54-year-old has revealed how he manages to get the very best deals for his client, crediting his waistline.
Speaking to SPORT1, Raiola spoke of his arguments with Dortmund sports director Michael Zorc, he said: “I love arguments. I love it when I come up with a strategy and use it to overcome my counterpart.
“You'll never see me in a suit and tie. That's not me. I am fat and short. People underestimated me for a long time and said, “What does it look like? He can't even get dressed properly.
”That was my chance. Now everyone has respect for me – even a Watzke. What I admire about him: He has a passion. I also have the passion he has for Dortmund for my players. Of course, our interests will never coincide. We once had a heated argument about Henrikh Mkhitaryan.”

Raiola will be getting set for a busy January transfer window as Haaland and Pogba are both being linked with mid-season moves.
Pogba is out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to put pen to paper on an extension despite an offer being on the table since last summer.
The Frenchman is undecided on his future, though the Red Devils will be hoping that the expected shakeup from interim manager Ralf Rangnick will prove as a sign of intent to convince Pogba to commit his future to the club.
Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have both been linked with the 28-year-old, with the latter club also thought to be keen on signing Haaland.
