Liverpool’s crunch clash with Arsenal was met with a fiery Anfield crowd under the lights in the race to qualify for European football on Saturday evening. And after a dubious challenge that occured infront of managers Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta, the pair lashed out at one another with staff of both teams doing their best to restrict any physical contact.

Liverpool had been dominating in front of a vocal Anfield on Saturday evening in the first half-hour of the tie.

Aaron Ramsdale’s heroics had kept Arteta’s side in the game, saving efforts from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota to keep Arsenal in the game.

The fortress Anfield has garnered a reputation for throughout the years was well and truly alive, adding an element of tension to the game.

And when Mane and Takehiro Tomiyasu collided in front of the managers, Jurgen Klopp reacted angrily to the Japanese international’s reaction – prompting Arteta to lash out at the German.
