Micah Richards exposes himself on TV as Carragher makes funny jibe
Gary Lineker teased by Alan Shearer and Micah Richards
Micah Richards made an appearance on Morning Footy wearing just a t-shirt and boxers and tried to scurry away from the camera before giving a glimpse of his underwear. The ex-Manchester City ace’s nickname on CBS’ Champions League coverage is ‘Big Meeks’… but might now go by ‘Big Cheeks’ with fellow pundit Jamie Carragher questioning whether the 34-year-old has been squatting.
“Don’t peak now,” Richards said as he tried to slip out of the camera shot. “He hasn’t done squats for a while, has he?,” a quick-witted Carragher responded. “The booty gains are there,” Richards cried out with laughter.
CBS’ coverage of European football is regarded as one of the best in TV, with Kate Abdo steering the broadcast with the help from Champions League winners Thierry Henry and Carragher, while Premier League winner Richards is often the centre of the jokes. Abdo and Carragher teamed up to rip into Richards at the start of CBS’ Tuesday broadcast ahead of Man City vs Bayern Munich.
Abdo listed off the accolades of Henry and Carragher in Europe, before downplaying Richards’ contribution to Man City’s meteoric rise. “With that, everybody, a very warm welcome along to our London studio. I’m Kate Abdo, joined by Champions League winner with Barcelona, Thierry Henry, Champions League winner with Liverpool, Jamie Carragher,” Jules said. “And the man who had a great view from the bench when Sergio Aguero won the Premier League for Manchester City, Big Meeks, Micah Richards.”
“I earned a lot of money sitting on that bench I’ll have you know anyway,” Richards responded. “Doing nothing? Bit like you here,” Carragher joked.
The CBS Champions League dream team has provided many laughs since combining forces. Carragher and Co gave City hero Erling Haaland a history lesson of the pre-glory days, and the Liverpool legend reminded the Norwegian goal machine that he has scored more goals in a single season than the team from the mid-2000s.

Richards’ Italian was also put to the test by multilingual Abdo, who tasked the former Fiorentina loanee with translating one of Romelu Lukaku’s post-match interviews.
Richards’ attempt at translating left Henry, Carragher and Abdo in stitches, with the latter saying the ex-defender should get a primetime slot on CBS’ Serie A show. As Abdo ended the show, Richards signed off saying: “A dopo, ciao (see you).”
