Messi and Sergio Ramos’ first conversation at PSG after years of bitter rivalry
Details have emerged of Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos' first conversation as Paris Saint-Germain team-mates, after years as fierce rivals at Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The two men, who for so long were on opposing sides of the El Clasico divide, now find themselves wearing the same shirt following a summer transfer window like no other.
Ramos, 35, joined Mauricio Pochettino's new-look squad at the expiration of his contract with Madrid, ending his 16-year association with the Bernabeu club.
Messi was unveiled as a PSG player on Wednesday morning after Barcelona were unable to register him for the new season because of the club's financial situation.
Both stars will forever be linked to their former clubs, but they seem to be getting on rather well in their new surrounds if details of a phone call between the pair are anything to go by.
According to El Pais journalist Juan Irigoyen, Ramos contacted Messi to offer up his home to the Argentine and his family while they search for a place of their own in Paris.
"If you and your family prefer to be in a house rather than in a hotel, you can stay at mine," the defender reportedly told his old rival and new team-mate.

In an interview with TNT Sports last month, Ramos pre-empted Messi's move to PSG.
He said: "I like to play with the best players and Messi has been one of the best in the world.
"I have always said that Messi will always have a role in my team."
Being team-mates isn't the only thing the pair will have to get used to at Parc des Princes.
Both Messi and Ramos are used to wearing the captain's armband, but in the French capital that role belongs to Marquinhos.
That might take some getting to grips with for Ramos, who was pictured looking down at his sleeve during a promotional video only to realise the armband wasn't there.
PSG fans will have to wait to see the two men on the field together, with Ramos currently out injured.
Reports in France estimate that he could be out for as long as two months, making it a tantalising wait before supporters will get to see their new men in action.
